Pre-K Auxiliary Teacher

About Myself:

My name is Amy Crosby and this is my 5th year of teaching in the Madison City Schools First Class Pre-K Program.  It is a joy to work with four- and five-year-old children as they experience school for the first time. It is my goal to set them up for success and help lay the foundation for them to become life-long learners.

I believe in nurturing the development of the whole child through age-appriopriate, hands-on experiences, and trial-and-error experimentation.  Because child development is dependent upon healthy human relationships, I am committed to forming a relationship with your child in partnership with you built upon the foundation of love, trust, and respect.

In my personal life, I enjoy being mom to two wonderful kids and girlfriend to a terrific Madison City firefighter/volunteer fire chief. My daughter is a sophomore at Auburn (WAR EAGLE) and my son is a senior at BJHS who is an active leader of the drumline and marching band (Bob Who?! BOB JONES!). As a family we enjoy hanging out with each other, friends, and our two dogs and cat; being active in the outdoors; traveling; and supporting local musicians, artists, and business owners.

I am currently enrolled at Athens State University pursuing certification in Early Childhood Education.
